I have been a licensed attorney in Iowa for over 20 years. I primarily practice disability law both before the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Social Security Administration, although I handle other matters in my general practice.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Drake University and worked as an organizational consultant for political candidates, new channels and lobbying groups before attending law school. I graduated from the University Of Iowa College Of Law.

Following graduation, I was employed by Iowa Legal Aid as a Staff Attorney and Senior Staff Attorney for over twenty years where I was their Veterans Benefits specialist in addition to the general practice of civil (non-criminal) saw. I joined the office of Bowman & DePree in 2009 and I have been grateful for the opportunity to represent disabled individuals obtain the Social Security and Veterans benefits they deserve.

I have been licensed to practice before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims since shortly after the Court was created in 1988. I have represented veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs since 1988 and have been an accredited attorney representative since the requirement of accreditation came into being in 2008 under Section 101 of Public Law 109-461. I regularly train other attorneys and representatives on the best practices for representation of veterans.

I am licensed to practice law in Iowa and before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa.
